DR-105 Petition for Dissolution of Marriage (with children)Sadly, over 50% of marriages fail. To add insult to injury, divorce proceedings can take years and cost thousands of dollars in legal fees. However, it is possible to file your own divorce in Alaska for no more than the state divorce form filing fees. This page provides all of the forms you need to initiate your do-it-yourself divorce in Alaska.

Make sure to read the REQUIREMENTS section before filing for Divorce to make sure you qualify. Note: These forms may NOT be all the correct forms for Anchorage or Fairbanks. For Divorce with children: File the Petition for Dissolution of Marriage (with Children). You can fill out the Shared Custody Child Support Calculation and attach the form to the Divorce petition if you wanted shared child custody. Fill out the Certificate of Divorce, Dissolution of Marriage or Annulment form (this form you must get from the Court).
If you cannot afford the $150 filing fee for filing these three forms you can file a Request for Exemption from Payment of Fees form. You can also file an Amendment of Agreement form if you and your spouse decide to change the terms of the Divorce petition and agree on the new terms. If it is nearly impossible or a significant hardship to attend the Divorce hearing you can file an Appearance and Waiver form. The Divorce decree may be granted at the hearing but do NOT assume the decree is granted until you receive a copy of the Divorce decree.
For Divorce without children: Fill out the Petition for Dissolution of Marriage (No Children), Information Sheet, and Certificate of Divorce, Dissolution of Marriage or Annulment forms. Note: the Certificate of Divorce, Dissolution of Marriage or Annulment form must be gotten from the Court.
